The Larix Hotel

The design of the place was exceptional, as was the attention to detail everywhere. The patio had comfortable chairs and beautiful landscaping. The door from the patio led to the breakfast room. It was like being in France with all the fine decorative touches. The food was simple but good, the usual toast and bagels, yogurt, cereal but with fresh blueberries and strawberries but it seemed special because of the way the table was decorated. There were lovely rugs to sit out on the patio in the evening We arrived in the middle of a heat wave and our room was too hot and they had run out of fans but we were ushered to a much cooler and larger room downstairs by the attendant at the desk. The bed was so comfy I was in heaven

The Larix exceeded our expectations from the gorgeous and comfortable decor to the excellent location, to the beautifully crafted toiletries, to our welcome from Stephanie & Ted. One of the best pet friendly hotels we have stayed in. Loved the coffee & tea bar and fridge.

What an absolute surprise of a gem! We rode our bikes through two thunder & lightening storms & gobs of rain from Nelson to Kimberly to arrive at the quaintest hotel we've stayed at. From the moment we arrived we were in love with the building, no expense was spared when it was remodelled from the original office building to hotel. Continental breakfast was superb, customer service was exceptional, location is perfect for walking to the main part of town. What a pleasure it was to support a family owned & operated business! Well definitely stay there again & highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Kimberly.

By far one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. For a fraction of the price, you get a gorgeous quaint hotel right in town. As soon as you step inside, you feel like you've just walked right into a 5-star resort. Everything about this place, I absolutely love! From the personalized bedrooms (which make you feel like your in a A-frame mountain cabin) to the luxurious lobby area that makes you feel right at home. One very unique feature, about this property, is as soon as you walk in, you can smell the oils in a diffuser (which instantly makes you calm, relaxed and toasty)....and don't get me started on the bathroom condiments (body cream, shampoo, soap, conditioner,etc.) Nice smelly stuff!!! My room had a Smart TV, which was a huge plus! Got to watch either Netflix, Amazon Prime or Disney+. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Everything from facilities, decor, bed, toiletries, common area all are top notch! But most important are people working there, you do really feel welcome here. Very nice twist on breakfast, great variety of healthy and fresh items. Gentleman that was working in breakfast bar was very friendly and pleasant to talk to. Keep it up, guys!
